Rocker Mounts
Rocker stamp mounts can significantly improve the imprint quality of large RIBtype stamps. If you need to imprint a large area of text or printing on uneven surfaces, such as corrugated cartons, rocker stamps make a great impression. The RIBtype interlocking rubber type system allows you to change dates, model numbers, lot numbers or other information quickly and easily.
Rocker Mounts Tips and Info.
Rib Direction:We recommend and, unless directed otherwise, make all rocker stamps with the ribs running the same direction as the rocking motion. Running the ribs at a right angle to the rocking direction can result in ribs being spread apart and can cause 2-rib RIBtype® to fall out and make type, logos, or mats with several ribs difficult or impossible to insert.
Handles: For larger rocker mounts, an aluminum "G" handle (shown in picture to the right) provides a better imprint and reduces fatigue. It is available on wooden rockers at least 2" x 5" and is attached to the wood block by 4 screws. All aluminum rockers come with a "G" handle.
Wood Rocker Lengths: Wood Rocker Lengths: Standard wood rocker lengths (length of ribs in the curved direction) are 3", 4", 5", 6", and 8". 8" is the maximum length in the rocking direction. If greater lengths are required, we can make curved aluminum bases by quote.
