Wax Seals
Wax Seals were used in the earliest civilizations from the Ancient Near East to Ancient Greece and Rome to East Asia. Wax Seals were used to authenticate documents, prevent tampering as well as provide proof that the item was actually from the sender and not a forgery. This assured the privacy of letters.
Today wax seals offer a mark of distinction to documents and letters, and can be used for everything from general correspondence to wedding invitations. Their use today is more decorative than functional.
Instructions for use:
Light your wax stick using a match or lighter
Drop enough wax to cover the seal
Blow out flame
Press your seal carefully on the wax, and hold there for 2-4 seconds and remove gently.
